What is admiralty bay?

Admiralty Bay is a natural harbor located on the southern coast of Bequia, which is one of the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean Sea. It is a popular anchorage spot for sailboats and yachts due to its protected waters and situated on the Windward Passage between St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The bay is named "Admiralty Bay" as it was a safe port of call for warships of the British Royal Navy during the colonial times. The bay also has a well-equipped marina, restaurants, and bars, making it a popular tourist destination. The bay is surrounded by beautiful mountainous terrain and white sandy beaches, where visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Additionally, it is an excellent location to witness sailing regattas, yachting events, and cultural festivals, including the Easter Regatta and the Bequia Music Fest.
